Child, Youth and School Services offers quality programs for children of all ages and supports the Army community by helping military parents balance the responsibilities of their mission with those of raising a Family. CYS provides child care resources, financial support, youth centers, sports and fitness programs, school support services and parent outreach services.

CYS provides child care resources, Army Fee Assistance, youth centers, sports and fitness programs, school support services and parent outreach services.

CYS also supports the Month of the Military Child which is observed in April and honors youths for their service, commitment and the sacrifices they make so that their parents can defend our country.

Military Child Care is the Defense Department’s website for Families seeking child care. On the site you’ll find comprehensive information about child care centers worldwide that are operated and subsidized by the military. You can request care or fee assistance, manage your requests and update your household profile, making it easier to find the child care you need.

▶ Family and MWR Programs Online Services for Payments

Gives Army members access to a wide range of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (programs and services) offered at garrisons around the globe.

▶ USAR Child Care Pilot Program with Upwards

Allows Army Reserve and National Guard Families to receive free reliable, high-quality child care during weekend drill and battle assembly trainings. The program is available to Families with children under age 14, regardless of rank or unit, and applies to those residing or drilling in Kansas and Missouri (specifically, in Kansas City and surrounding areas), as well as in Illinois and Iowa (Quad Cities and surrounding areas).
